License watch
“Open source” is not always one license. Here are the license changes we have recorded, and the projects that use mixed licenses, commercially licensed enterprise files or source-available terms that are not OSI open source.
License changes
Every night we compare each project’s license file with the last copy we saw, starting Oct 10, 2026. A change is listed here once a person has read the new terms. 104 projects are tracked.
No license change has been recorded yet.
- Sustainable Use License 1.0 (n8n). Source-available under the Sustainable Use License (fair-code), not OSI open source. Free for internal business use; files with .ee. in the name need a paid Enterprise license. Check the license before offering n8n as a hosted service or embedding it in a product.
- MIT License. The repository LICENSE is the MIT License, Copyright (c) Ollama. Models you download are separate works with their own licenses, shown on each model's page in the library; Ollama does not change them. Ollama also sells cloud models and plans, which are a separate hosted service.
- Open WebUI License (BSD-style with branding clause). Open WebUI License: BSD-3-Clause style terms plus a branding rule. You may use and modify it for free, but you must keep the Open WebUI name and logo visible, except for deployments with 50 or fewer end users in 30 days, with written permission, or with an enterprise license. Materials covered by earlier licenses keep their original terms (see the repository's LICENSE_HISTORY), and contributors must agree to a CLA. Clauses 1 to 3 follow the BSD-3-Clause pattern; clause 4 adds the branding restriction.
- MIT License. The repository LICENSE is the MIT License (Copyright 2020 Excalidraw). Excalidraw+ at plus.excalidraw.com is a separate paid product from the same project; the repository README describes excalidraw.com as a showcase of what you can build with the editor.
- GNU Affero General Public License v3.0. The LICENSE file is the GNU Affero General Public License, version 3. The docs footer also states Immich is available as open source under the AGPL v3 License. The Immich site sells licenses as a way to support the project; the docs say all features are free and nothing will be put behind a paywall.
- Apache License 2.0. The LICENSE file in the main repository is Apache License 2.0. The self-hosted stack is made of separate components from other repositories (for example supabase/gotrue, supabase/realtime, supabase/storage-api, PostgREST, Envoy and imgproxy), each with its own license.
- MIT License. Open-core with mixed licenses. The root LICENSE is MIT for everything outside the listed folders. Content under app/proprietary/, app/saas/, engine/ and several frontend/editor/src folders (proprietary, desktop, saas, cloud, portal) is under separate licenses. The app/proprietary license says production use needs a valid Stirling PDF User License subscription.
- MIT License. The LICENSE file is the MIT License (Copyright (c) 2021 Louis Lam). package.json also declares MIT.
- Apache License 2.0. The core repository LICENSE.md is the Apache License 2.0.
- Mozilla Public License 2.0. The repository LICENSE is the Mozilla Public License Version 2.0.
- GNU Affero General Public License v3.0. The AppFlowy app repository is AGPL-3.0. The self-hosted server is no longer open source: the AGPL AppFlowy-Cloud repository is archived, and the current self-hosted server (AppFlowy-SelfHost-Commercial) is distributed under a commercial license, with a free tier of one user seat plus up to three guest editors. The self-hosted server is distributed under the AppFlowy Self-Hosted Commercial License.
- GNU Affero General Public License v3.0. LICENSE is the GNU Affero General Public License v3, and LICENSING.md calls AGPL-3.0-only the default license. LICENSING.md lists exceptions under Apache-2.0: packages grafana-data, grafana-e2e-selectors, grafana-runtime and grafana-ui, plus packaging/, kinds/, pkg/kinds/, pkg/kindsys/, pkg/registry/schemas/, grafana-mixin/, the TraceView components folder and some icon folders. public/vendor/ keeps its original upstream licenses and one vendored workflow file is MIT. Grafana Cloud is the hosted service. Grafana Enterprise is a separate commercial edition, and its extra features need a paid license.
- Apache License 2.0. LICENSE.txt is the Apache License, Version 2.0, and the superset.apache.org footer says the site is licensed under the Apache License. The project belongs to the Apache Software Foundation. The pages read do not describe a separate commercial edition of the repository.
- MIT License. The repository LICENSE is split. Code outside any ee/ directory (Community Edition) is under the MIT Expat license, but only if you have no registered account on Strapi's cloud offering. Code under an ee/ directory (for example packages/core/admin/ee) is the Enterprise Edition and is not MIT: it falls under the Strapi Enterprise Software License Agreement (https://strapi.io/enterprise-terms), a signed agreement, or the cloud terms. GitHub reports the repository license as NOASSERTION because of this split.
- GNU Affero General Public License v3.0. LICENSE.txt is the GNU Affero General Public License, version 3. Vaultwarden is not Bitwarden: the README says it is not associated with Bitwarden or Bitwarden, Inc.
- MIT License. The repository LICENSE reads 'The MIT License, Copyright (c) Mintplex Labs Inc.'
- Apache License 2.0. LICENSE is the Apache License, Version 2.0. The prometheus.io homepage says all components are available under the Apache 2 License on GitHub, and that Prometheus is a CNCF graduated project. No commercial edition is described on the site.
- Sustainable Use License 1.0 (NocoDB). LICENSE.md says the master and develop branches are under the Sustainable Use License, version 1.0, and that other branches are not licensed. The license allows use for your own internal business purposes or for non-commercial and personal use. NocoDB's docs say the project moved from AGPL-3.0 to this license in January 2026 and that offering NocoDB as a hosted or managed service to third parties needs a commercial license. Distribution is only free of charge for non-commercial purposes. Third-party components keep their own licenses.
- Apache License 2.0. The LICENSE file is the Apache License, Version 2.0. Coolify Cloud is a separate paid managed service run by the project; the self-hosted software is not license-restricted.
- MIT License. LICENSE.md is the MIT License, Copyright (c) 2022 - present, Gani Georgiev. The README says the same.
- Mozilla Public License 2.0. The repository LICENSE is the Mozilla Public License Version 2.0.
- GNU Affero General Public License v3.0. AGPL-3.0 (LICENSE file). Plane also ships a Commercial edition, with a free 12-seat tier and paid license keys, alongside the Community edition.
- MIT License. The repository is dual-licensed. The Community Edition is MIT. Files marked as Enterprise Edition (in enterprise_editions folders) are under the Business Source License 1.1 adapted by Meili SAS (LICENSE-EE): free for non-production use only, production use needs a commercial agreement, and the change license is MIT four years after publication. The LICENSE file states the combined SPDX expression MIT AND BUSL-1.1. The README and docs say the only Enterprise-exclusive feature in the docs is sharding (with replication), and the README also lists S3-streaming snapshots and search rule previews.
- MIT License. The repository LICENSE is the MIT license (Copyright 2016 The Gitea Authors, 2015 The Gogs Authors). The paid Gitea Enterprise edition is sold as a separate product; The pricing page describes the open-source edition as a free, self-hosted Git service under the MIT license.
- GNU Affero General Public License v3.0. Mostly AGPL-3.0. Files marked '@license Enterprise' are under a commercial license, some packages (CLI, SDK, UI library, apps) are MIT, and an additional permission covers applications built on Twenty's APIs.
- GNU General Public License v2.0. The server repository LICENSE is the GNU General Public License, Version 2. Other official repositories use other licenses: jellyfin-web, jellyfin-android, jellyfin-androidtv, jellyfin-roku and jellyfin-desktop are listed by GitHub as GPL-2.0; jellyfin-ios, jellyfin-tizen and jellyfin-sdk-typescript as MPL-2.0; jellyfin-kodi as GPL-3.0. jellyfin-ffmpeg is a fork of FFmpeg whose LICENSE.md says most files are LGPL v2.1 or later, with a GPL build when GPL-licensed parts are enabled; its COPYING files include GPLv2, GPLv3, LGPLv2.1 and LGPLv3. The website content is CC-BY-ND-4.0.
- BSD 3-Clause License. The repository README says it is available under the BSD 3-Clause License, and the LICENSE file is a BSD-style license. The Enterprise page also mentions a separate premium self-hosted edition, which is not part of this repository.
- GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 or later. The root LICENSE says everything is AGPL-3.0-or-later unless a directory has its own LICENSE file. packages/server (Joplin Server) has its own LICENSE.md, the Joplin Server Personal Use License, which allows only personal non-commercial use; businesses need the paid Joplin Server Business licence. The Joplin logos and icons are all rights reserved and cannot be used without permission.
- MIT License. The repository LICENSE is MIT (Copyright 2013-2026 Ghost Foundation). The README says Ghost and the Ghost logo are trademarks of Ghost Foundation Ltd. with a separate trademark policy. Ghost(Pro) hosting is a paid service run by the project; self-hosting the code is free.
- GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0. This applies to Odoo Community only. The LICENSE file in the odoo/odoo repository says Odoo is published under the LGPL, version 3. Odoo Enterprise is a separate edition and its code is not in this repository. The LICENSE file also says some bundled external libraries and contributions may be under other GPL-compatible licenses. The editions page says Community is the core that Enterprise is built on.
- Apache License 2.0. The LICENSE file is the Apache License 2.0 with the copyright line 2016-2026 ClickHouse, Inc. The ClickHouse Cloud service, Bring Your Own Cloud and other products are sold separately on the company's site.
- GNU Affero General Public License v3.0. LICENSE is the GNU Affero General Public License, Version 3, and the README says Mastodon is free, open-source software licensed under AGPLv3. No other license in the repository was checked.
- GNU Affero General Public License v3.0. LICENSE.txt says the repository is variously licensed under the GNU AGPL or the Metabase Commercial License. Source outside the top-level enterprise directory is AGPL. Source inside the top-level enterprise directory is under the Metabase Commercial License unless otherwise noted. The binaries at hub.docker.com/metabase/metabase and the non-enterprise paths at downloads.metabase.com are AGPL. The binaries at hub.docker.com/metabase/metabase-enterprise and downloads.metabase.com/enterprise are under the Metabase Commercial License. The repository also contains LICENSE-EMBEDDING.txt, a separate software license agreement for the app-embed.js file.
- MIT License. Applies to Cal.diy (github.com/calcom/cal.diy), the open-source community edition. Cal.com announced in April 2026 that it moved its production codebase to a private repository, and the old calcom/cal.com repository address now points to calcom/cal.diy. The root LICENSE and the five sub-folder LICENSE files (API v2 platform, hitpay, stripepayment and three embed packages) are all MIT, and no ee folder exists in the repository. The commercial Cal.com codebase is private and its license is not published. The Cal.com blog says Cal.diy was relicensed from AGPL-3.0 to MIT.
- GNU General Public License v2.0. LICENSE.txt is the GNU General Public License, Version 2. The README says it is licensed under GPL version 2.0 or later and gives copyright to Civilized Discourse Construction Kit, Inc. Two bundled plugins carry their own license files: discourse-details is MIT and discourse-graphviz is Creative Commons. The other plugin folders have none.
- GNU General Public License v3.0. The repository LICENSE is the GNU General Public License, Version 3.
- MIT License. The root LICENSE is MIT, but content under apps/meteor/ee/ and ee/ is under the Rocket.Chat Enterprise Edition (EE) license. That license allows copying and modifying for development and testing, but production use requires an Enterprise Edition subscription and agreeing to the Subscription Terms of Service.
- Functional Source License 1.1 (Apache 2.0 future license). LICENSE.md is the Functional Source License, Version 1.1, Apache 2.0 Future License. It allows any purpose except a Competing Use, which it defines as offering the software in a commercial product or service that substitutes for it or offers the same or similar functionality. Internal use, non-commercial education and research are listed as permitted. Each version converts to the Apache License 2.0 on the second anniversary of the date it is made available. Because of the competing-use limit this is not an OSI-approved open-source license.
- MIT License. The repository LICENSE.md is the MIT License (Copyright 2018-2026 Payload CMS, LLC). No separate enterprise license file was found in the top-level tree of the repository.
- GNU Affero General Public License v3.0. LICENSE.md in the repository is the GNU Affero General Public License, version 3.
- Business Source License 1.1. The LICENSE file is the Business Source License 1.1, which it says is not an Open Source license. The Additional Use Grant allows any use except a Document Service: a commercial offering where third parties create teams and documents. The file sets a change date of 2030-10-12, after which that version converts to Apache License 2.0. For other uses the file points to the vendor for alternative licensing.
- GNU Affero General Public License v3.0. The repository LICENSE is the GNU Affero General Public License, Version 3, followed by an 'ADDITIONAL TERMS' section (clause 18) that makes the PhotoPrism name, logos, icons and other brand assets proprietary to PhotoPrism UG and forbids using the trademark in the name of your own app or service. The default Docker image tag uses a separate 'Plus License' that covers member extensions bundled with it; the 'ce' tag is the AGPL Community Edition. The repository NOTICE file lists third-party packages under their own licenses.
- MIT License. LICENSE says content under the ee/ directory is licensed under the license in ee/LICENSE, third-party components keep their own licenses, and everything else is MIT Expat. ee/LICENSE is the PostHog Enterprise license: the software may only be used in production if you have agreed to the PostHog Subscription Terms of Service or another agreement with PostHog and hold a valid Enterprise license for the number of user seats; copying and modifying for development and testing is allowed without a subscription. The README points to the posthog-foss repository, which it says has all proprietary code removed.
- MIT License. The repository LICENSE is MIT (Copyright 2022 Umami Software, Inc.). The repository root has a single MIT LICENSE and no enterprise folder.
- GNU Affero General Public License v3.0. Compiled binaries from Mattermost Inc. are MIT. Source is available under AGPL-3.0 or a commercial license, admin tools and configuration files are Apache-2.0, and a separate enterprise license covers enterprise features.
- zlib License. The repository README says Portainer is licensed under the zlib license, and the LICENSE file contains the zlib terms (it starts with the copyright line, 'Copyright (c) 2018 Portainer.io', and has no title line). The repository is Portainer Community Edition. Business Edition is a separate commercial edition that the README says builds on the same open-source base; its license terms are not published in the repository. The README also lists third-party code in ATTRIBUTIONS.md.
- MIT License. Mixed licenses. The root LICENSE says everything outside the enterprise/ directory is MIT Expat (third-party components keep their own licenses). Everything under enterprise/ uses the Chatwoot Enterprise License, which allows production use only with a valid Chatwoot Enterprise subscription for the right number of seats and agreement to the Subscription Terms of Service; copying and modifying for development and testing is allowed without a subscription. The Enterprise Edition is built from the same repository.
- GNU Affero General Public License v3.0. The core server is AGPL-3.0. Enterprise subscriptions add vendor support and some features listed on the pricing page.
- MIT License. The repository LICENSE is MIT (Copyright 2021 Medusajs). The repo also contains ENTERPRISE-LICENSE.md: RBAC (role-based access control) and SSO code paths listed there are proprietary Enterprise Edition materials that need a separate commercial agreement. The GitHub license detector reports the repo as 'Other' (no single SPDX id) because of this mix.
- MIT License. MIT outside the ee/ directories, which are under a separate enterprise license. The copyright line now names ClickHouse, Inc. The enterprise directories are ee/, web/src/ee/ and worker/src/ee/.
- MIT License. The root LICENSE says content under the ee/ and cmd/enterprise/ directories is under the SigNoz Enterprise License (ee/LICENSE), which only allows production use under an agreement with SigNoz. Everything else is under the MIT Expat license.
- MIT License. The LICENSE file is the MIT license (Copyright (C) 2014 Jeff Lindsay). Dokku Pro is a separate paid add-on for an existing Dokku install; its license terms are not published on the pages read.
- Apache License 2.0. The LICENSE file is the Apache License, Version 2.0. Jitsi is a trademark of 8x8, Inc., which builds Jitsi and offers a separate hosted product, Jitsi as a Service (JaaS), and the free public instance at meet.jit.si.
- MIT License. The repository file LICENSE.txt is the MIT license text (Copyright James Long). The root package.json also says MIT.
- GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 or later. The self-hosted Community Edition is AGPL-3.0. The paid cloud service includes features that are not in the Community Edition. The JavaScript tracker is MIT licensed, and the Plausible name and logo are trademarks.
- MIT License. The repository LICENSE is MIT (Copyright 2010-2025, Webkul Software). The README says Bagisto will always remain free under the MIT License. Extensions, the B2B and Multi Vendor Marketplace products and the separate bagisto-api package are separate offerings.
- BSD 3-Clause License. The COPYING file is the BSD 3-Clause license with two copyright lines: Valkey contributors (2024-present) and Redis Ltd. (2006-2020), because the project forked from the BSD-licensed Redis code. The Valkey site footer adds that Valkey includes certain 3-Clause BSD-licensed Redis code and other source code.
- GNU General Public License v3.0. The server is GPL-3.0, not AGPL. The README explains that this lets you run a modified server internally without publishing changes, but distributing a modified server triggers the GPL. The client libraries and other repositories under the typesense organization have their own licenses.
- MIT License. The core repository is MIT.
- Apache License 2.0. Apache License 2.0 for the server and web app. The NOTICE file says some bundled third-party works are redistributed under their own free and open source licenses (listed in docs/THIRDPARTY).
- MIT License. Mixed licenses. The root LICENSE says most of the repository is MIT; the website/ folder is CC BY-SA 4.0; client-side JavaScript is MIT Expat; and everything under authentik/enterprise/ uses the authentik Enterprise Edition (EE) license, which allows production use only with a valid Enterprise subscription for the right number of seats and agreement to the Subscription Terms of Service.
- MIT License. Most of the repository is MIT. Everything under packages/ee/ and packages/server/api/src/app/ee is under the separate Activepieces Enterprise license, which allows production use only with a paid agreement and a license for the right number of seats (development and testing are allowed without a subscription). Third-party components keep their own licenses. GitHub reports the repo license as NOASSERTION because of this mix.
- GNU Affero General Public License v3.0. The LICENSE file in the repository is the GNU Affero General Public License, version 3. The Firefly III logo is copyrighted and its docs ask you to get permission for most uses.
- MIT License. The main repository (gitlab-org/gitlab on GitLab.com) has a LICENSE file saying content outside the listed folders is under the MIT Expat license. The same file puts doc/ under CC BY-SA 4.0, the ee/ directory under ee/LICENSE, and jh/ under jh/LICENSE; client-side JavaScript is MIT. ee/LICENSE is the GitLab Enterprise Edition license: the software may only be used in production under the GitLab Subscription Terms of Service or another agreement, with a valid Enterprise Edition subscription for the number of user seats. The gitlab-foss repository is a read-only mirror of GitLab without ee/ and is the Community Edition source. The GitHub repository gitlabhq/gitlabhq is described as a GitLab CE mirror.
- Apache License 2.0. Apache License 2.0, copyright OpenJS Foundation and other contributors. There is no paid edition of Node-RED itself. FlowFuse, a separate commercial company that sponsors the project, sells a hosted and managed platform around it.
- BSD 3-Clause License. The repository LICENSE is the BSD 3-Clause License (Copyright Saleor Commerce 2020-2023 and Mirumee Software 2010-2020).
- GNU Affero General Public License v3.0. Core is AGPL-3.0. Files in apps/server/src/ee, apps/client/src/ee and packages/ee are under a separate Docmost Enterprise license (packages/ee/LICENSE). Business and Enterprise features need a paid license key.
- GNU General Public License v3.0. The core is GPL v3; the README and matomo.org/free-software say 'GPL v3 (or later)'. Premium plugins are closed source and sold separately (for example Activity Log, Cohorts, Roll-Up Reporting).
- MIT License. The repository LICENSE reads 'The MIT License (MIT), Copyright (c) Lauri Ojansivu'. The project's commercial support page states that all code is MIT-licensed with no proprietary code.
- GNU Affero General Public License v3.0. The server repository has two licenses. LICENSE.txt says code is covered by the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 or the Bitwarden License v1.0; AGPL v3.0 is the default unless a file header says otherwise, and Bitwarden Licensed code is found only in the /bitwarden_license directory (Commercial.Core, Scim and Sso modules, among others). The Bitwarden License is source available and is not OSI approved. Per the license FAQ it allows use of the code for internal development and testing only, and production use needs a paid Bitwarden subscription. The FAQ also says the Api module includes Commercial.Core by default and that this can be disabled by building with /p:DefineConstants="OSS". The FAQ states the clients (desktop, web, browser, mobile, CLI) are under GPL-3.0.
- MIT License. The LICENSE file is the MIT License. The project's main repository is on Codeberg (https://codeberg.org/bookstack/bookstack); the GitHub repo is the one listed here. No separate enterprise-licensed folder was found in the files read, but the repo tree was not audited. The GitHub README says the project is now managed on Codeberg.
- GNU General Public License v2.0. The LICENSE file says the program is free software under the GNU General Public License (version 2), and adds permission to link with OpenSSL. It also says portions are based on work by Trend Micro, and the LICENSE file defines derivative work broadly. The quickstart says components use the GNU General Public License version 2 and the Apache License 2.0. The README lists third-party components that have their own licenses.
- GNU General Public License v3.0. The core is GPL version 3 (the COPYRIGHT file says 'version 3'; it does not say 'or later'). The COPYRIGHT file also includes the older ChiliProject notice under GPL version 2 or later. Enterprise add-ons are shown as a paid feature set on the pricing page.
- GNU Affero General Public License v3.0. The repository is dual-licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 and the proprietary Stalwart Enterprise License v2 (SELv2); source files carry the header 'AGPL-3.0-only OR LicenseRef-SEL', so you choose one of the two. The Community edition is used under the AGPL. Enterprise-only features are listed on the official comparison page.
- Apache License 2.0. LICENSE.txt is the Apache License, Version 2.0. The README also states that OpenSearch includes certain Apache-licensed Elasticsearch code from Elasticsearch B.V. and that ELASTICSEARCH is a registered trademark of Elasticsearch B.V.
- GNU General Public License v3.0. The README says any part of mailcow itself is released under the GNU General Public License, Version 3, and warns that it uses various open-source software whose licenses you should check. The README does not say whether 'or later' applies. 'mailcow' is a registered word mark of The Infrastructure Company GmbH (Servercow).
- GNU Affero General Public License v3.0. AGPL-3.0 outside the apps/web/modules/ee directory, which has a separate enterprise license; the JS, Android, iOS and API packages are MIT.
- GNU General Public License v3.0 or later. The LICENSE file states GPL v3 (any later version allowed) and lists bundled third-party components under MIT, Apache-2.0, BSD and other GPL-compatible licenses. 'Mautic' is a trademark; that is a trademark claim, not a license restriction on the code.
- GNU General Public License v3.0. The repository license.txt is the GNU General Public License version 3 (GPL-3.0). The frappe.io/hr page shows an AGPL-3.0 label, but that label sits next to a link to a different repository (frappe/crm), and the pricing page FAQ also says AGPL-3.0; the LICENSE file in frappe/hrms says GPL-3.0, which is what is used here. The Frappe framework itself is MIT, and hrms/hooks.py in this repository also states GPL v3; the website's AGPL wording does not match the repository.
- Apache License 2.0. The README says the source code in the repository is licensed under Apache License 2.0. Icon sets and stencil libraries have separate terms and cannot be used in Atlassian products or marketplace distributions without written permission; this restriction does not apply to end-user diagram output.
- GNU General Public License v2.0. The README says MariaDB Server is GPLv2 without the 'any later version' clause, inherited from MySQL, with third-party license information in the THIRDPARTY file. MariaDB plc also sells MariaDB Enterprise Platform under separate commercial terms.
- GNU General Public License v3.0. The README says Moodle is provided under version 3 of the GNU General Public License; the source file headers say version 3 or any later version. The GitHub repository is a mirror of the project's own git server.
- GNU General Public License v3.0 or later. The README grants the GNU General Public License as published by the Free Software Foundation, 'either version 3 of the License, or (at your option) any later version', with an added exception that plugins and skins which merely call Roundcube functions are not considered modifications. Third-party libraries it requires carry their own licenses.
- GNU Affero General Public License v3.0. The LICENSE file is the GNU Affero General Public License version 3, and the README says Canvas is released under AGPLv3.
- GNU Affero General Public License v3.0. The repository LICENSE is the GNU Affero General Public License, Version 3.
- GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 or later. Most of the repository is AGPL-3.0-or-later. The desktop/ folder is GPL-3.0-or-later. Background images from Unsplash are under the Unsplash License. Vikunja Pro (admin panel, audit logs, time tracking) is a separate paid add-on.
- GNU Affero General Public License v3.0. The core application is under the GNU Affero General Public License, version 3. Many features are separate modules; the official modules page sells most of them as lifetime licenses for a single instance, while S3 Storage and AI Integration are labelled Free. Community modules are listed separately and have their own licenses.
- GNU Affero General Public License v3.0. Everything outside api/app/Enterprise is AGPL-3.0. Files under api/app/Enterprise (it contains an Oidc folder) are under a separate OpnForm Enterprise Edition license that requires the Enterprise Terms and a paid license for production use. Third-party components keep their own licenses. The OIDC code lives in the Enterprise-licensed folder; the pricing page says OIDC single sign-on is included within the free 2-user limit.
- GNU General Public License v2.0 or later. The LICENSE file states GPL version 2 or (at your option) any later version. Third-party libraries and plugins may carry their own licenses.
- GNU Affero General Public License v3.0. Core is AGPL-3.0 (LICENSE.txt, GNU Affero General Public License Version 3). Contributions to the repo require signing a CLA. Official extensions (for example Advanced Pack, Sales Pack) are distributed separately under an Extension License Agreement and are not part of the AGPL repo.
- GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 or later. The README says the Keila logo and the `extra` directory are excluded from the license. The README wording is AGPL version 3 or later.
- Apache License 2.0. The source code in the repository is Apache-2.0. The README says some builds of stable releases provided by ownCloud GmbH are subject to a separate End User License Agreement (EULA). That EULA, for the binary builds, forbids Commercial Use (including offering it as a hosted service to third parties) and redistribution of the binaries. The EULA says open-source components inside the build keep their own licenses.
- GNU Affero General Public License v3.0. The LICENSE file on the default 3.x branch is the GNU Affero General Public License, version 3. The README says the same.
- Eclipse Public License 2.0. The openhab-core repository LICENSE is the Eclipse Public License v2.0. The openhab-distro and openhab-addons repositories are also under the Eclipse Public License 2.0.
- GNU General Public License v3.0 or later. The LICENSE file is the GNU General Public License, version 3. The README says OrangeHRM may be redistributed under GPL version 3 or, at your option, any later version. This repository is the Starter edition only.
- Mozilla Public License 2.0. Taiga is split across repositories with different licenses. The backend (taiga-back), taiga-docker, taiga-events and taiga-protected are listed under MPL-2.0; their LICENSE files for taiga-back and taiga-docker read 'Mozilla Public License Version 2.0'. The frontend (taiga-front) LICENSE is the GNU Affero General Public License, Version 3. MPL-2.0 is used here as the main license because the backend holds the server logic.
- Mozilla Public License 2.0. LICENSE.md says the application is available under two licenses: OpenCATS code is under the Mozilla Public License 2.0, and original code from the CATS Project (circa 2007) is under the CATS Public License Version 1.1a, a modified Mozilla Public License 1.1 with additional terms (Exhibit B). The CATS Public License is not an SPDX-listed license.
- GNU Affero General Public License v3.0. Seafile is split across several repositories with different licenses. The server core (seafile-server) is AGPL-3.0 with an added permission to link with OpenSSL, and its python directory is Apache-2.0. The web front-end (seahub) is Apache-2.0. The server README says other components have different licenses. The Professional edition is a paid, commercial product with its own license agreement and is not open source.
- GNU Affero General Public License v3.0. Listed from the SuiteCRM 8 repository (SuiteCRM/SuiteCRM-Core), whose LICENSE.txt is the GNU AGPL version 3. The older SuiteCRM 7 line is a separate repository (salesagility/SuiteCRM) and is also AGPLv3. Bundled third-party libraries may carry their own licenses.
- MIT License. The backend repository (GitLab, glitchtip/glitchtip-backend) has an MIT LICENSE (Copyright 2019 GlitchTip). The separate frontend repository (glitchtip-frontend) is also MIT.
- GNU General Public License v3.0 or later. The README says Forgejo is distributed under GPL version 3.0 or any later version, applied from v9.0; all versions before v9.0 are MIT. The primary repo is on Codeberg (codeberg.org/forgejo/forgejo); no official GitHub mirror was confirmed (github.com/forgejo/forgejo returned 404).
